This product is a guide for peer editing intended for high school students. The Doodle Notes are helpful for lower-level students to complete first because it guides them through identifying different parts of their peers' paper: the hook, thesis statement, in-text citations, textual evidence, etc. It also asks students to give a "shout out" to their peer, complementing at least one area in which they were successful in creating a strong argument.
The additional sheet asks students higher-level questions about the effectiveness of different parts of the paper, which had already been identified in the Doodle Notes.
Some areas may need to be changed to meet the needs of your students, so this is an editable document.
Additional prep includes gathering highlighters, blue colored pencils, and having students bring a printed copy of an argumentative rough draft.
