If you have students working on social skills as part of the RTI/MTSS process or as part of their IEPs, then this chart is for you!
Directions: Every ten seconds tally the interactions a student has with his/her peers. Each ten seconds counts as one block of time out of a possible thirty blocks of time. If a student has even one interaction with a peer in a ten-second time frame, that block will count as one of the possible out of thirty. A percentage is calculated based on the number of blocks with peer interactions out of the possible blocks of time where peer interaction was possible. If peer interaction was not possible during a block of time, place an ‘X’ or dash in that box.
I would suggest placing any comment or additional notes on the back of this sheet to explain in detail any of the interactions a student had.
This sheet could also be printed on duplicate/triplicate paper or carbon paper could be used for additional copies.
