Use this worksheet after students have written a persuasive essay and you want them to do some peer editing. Hand out this worksheet to each student and have them trade papers. Once they have a peer's paper, they need to fill in the backwards outline. This will help the students to recognize when certain parts of the essay are missing. This also eliminates the fear of giving a peer a low score on a essay, because they aren't giving a harsh critique. They are just saying that something is missing from the essay.
