This lesson is engaging and powerful for students and their parents. It includes 2 class games, a video link, letter home, reflection activity, and bookmarks for students. The objective of the lesson is to teach students about the different types of peer pressure and help them reflect on their core values. Research has shown that children with strong core values and confidence are more likely to resist negative peer pressure and make better friendship choices. This lesson helps students identify their values so that hopefully these will guide their decisions in the future (not negative peer pressure). May need to be SLIGHTLY adjusted for older students (please look at preview before purchasing).
The lesson was inspired by this quote:
“Surround YOURSELF with people who will lift you higher.”
