This resource can be used to help your students peer review any essay. The tasks cards require students to read or listen to each other's essays and then give each other meaningful feedback. The tasks are differentiated. All three tasks require students to ask each other questions about their essays and to give feedback in the form or "Glows" and "Grows" (or compliments and next steps). Task one provides students with simple options for glows and grows. The glows and grows on task two are a little more sophisticated and prompt students to use the "grows" to write new writing goals for themselves. Task three requires students to refer to create their own glows and grows based on your classroom rubrics and includes an extension where students can create a lesson plan or a poster teaching others how to write an essay. This would be great for an observation lesson with students talking to each other and giving each other feedback. Enjoy!
