Peer Review is a critical part of the writing process, especially given the Common Core standards regarding writing as a product. This workshop takes one to two periods (depending on your class period and students' ability level) to complete accurately and has produced much clearer and focused writing in high school students as well as college freshmen. Since it is collected, students take it seriously. It builds their analysis skills along with their confidence. It thoroughly asks students to review the five most critical aspects of a draft: focus, development, organization, analysis and mechanics. NOTE: The preview is the first of three pages of analysis.
