This is a peer revising checklist for the expository essay the students write in Module 1 Unit 2 of the Expeditionary Learning Curriculum. First the students trade with a partner, go through the checklist, and then write a positive and negative (suggestion) comment, and then the students receive their own drafts back and go through it again keeping the peer's comments in mind. I find that a checklist is a very successful way for students to improve their drafts, and I use one for every writing piece my students work on.
