This bulletin board will be posted in my classroom for several reasons.
First, it will help the students think about their writing. Even on days without a teacher conference or a peer conference, the bulletin board will be there to remind them of steps to take to improve their writing.
Second, it provides students with language they need to discuss and plan their writing. It will prepare them to answer fully when having a writing conference with their teacher.
Third, besides providing language, it allows for conversation to happen about the student’s writing pieces. Students will have the opportunity to share and enjoy work. They will be giving and receiving helpful feedback.
