Bonus: Penguin Presentation Rubric

Activities have been implemented in 1st through 3rd grade classrooms.

First Grade - answer questions as a whole group activity to model rephrasing questions and answering in complete sentences.
Second and Third Grade - set up so children can easily follow fact sheet to complete questions. Flexible enough to use along with other research sources to develop paragraph writing skills and create a more indepth project.

Some extension activities include:

Create a life size penguin on butcher/kraft paper.

Oral Presentation - gives young learners experience in sharing information they have gathered. Presentation rubric included as a bonus gift.
