Description

Penguins are such a fun unit to teach your students. In this file you will receive 280+ pages of penguin fun. There are 5 featured stories, Penguins! by Gibbons, National Geographic for Kids Penguins, All about Penguins (paper book included), Tacky the Penguin and Tacky the Emperor by Helen Lester. Each story feature comes with anchor charts and loads of reading strategies. The focus for this unit is inferencing however your students will learn so much more. There are several different writing ideas to teach informative, narrative, opinion, and descriptive writing. Also included are penguin math games, lots of crafts, and word work activities. In addition, you will receive a weekly lesson plan framework to help you plan.This is now part of my 40 week guided reading with a purpose series. This unit can be used for distance learning and google classroom with the new TpT digital tool.
