The following centers are included in this penguin bundle.
Penguin Center ~ CVC Phonics
Directions: Print off the cards and laminate them. There are 5 centers in this set, one for each vowel. Students read and match cvc words to their paper and write the word with the corresponding color.
Penguin Center CVC & CCVC Real vs Nonsense Words
Directions: Print off the cards and laminate them. Add Velcro dots to the back of the letter cards and the playing mat. This will help students stay organized. Students build real cvc and ccvc words and nonsense words.
Penguin Center ~ Sight Word Writing
Directions: Print off the three sets of sight word cards. Laminate and cut the cards. Add a binder ring to help students stay organized. Students are to write a sentence for each sight word.
Penguin Center ~ Interactive Number Line
Directions: For this center you will need some Velcro tape and free area on your wall. Print, cut, and laminate the penguin number cards. Add Velcro to the cards and one long strip somewhere in your classroom. Students place the numbers in order from smallest to largest. This is a great center to build one-to-one correspondence and number sense.
Penguin Center ~ Sight Word Fixing
Directions: print, laminate, and cut the sight word cards. Punch a hole in the top and add them to a binder ring. Students unscramble the sight words that are on the card and record their answer on the worksheet. There is an answer key provided for quick grading.
Penguin Centers ~ Colorful Sight Words
In this penguin themed center, students practice writing and reading their sight words. There are three centers in this pack.
Directions: print, laminate, and cut the sight word cards. Place them into a zip lock bag. Make sure to keep each set separated. There are three sets. Students pull a card from a pile, read the sight word on the card, and trace the sight word in the same color as the penguin.
Students will practice 36 different sight words.
