If your students struggle with character analysis and using text evidence - try this engaging and fun reading comprehension activity!
We love options - so we've designed this for use with your whole class or as a small-group work station, AND we've included two versions to help you differentiate instruction. Plus, you also have the option to print this as a game or station activity OR you can print only the worksheet version for a paper-and-pencil only activity.
If you print and laminate this as a game, your students will read the passages on each penguin, and then they'll sort the snow balls to match the clues to the correct penguin. It's completely self-checking, too!
If you opt to use this as a paper-and-pencil activity, simply print the penguin passages, the clue sheets, and the answer sheet. Students can turn in their work to you, or you can provide the answers to allow them to check their own work.
No doubt about it, working with text evidence and character analysis can be tricky. Watch your students develop these two skills at once using the passages on these two adorable penguins!
