Just in time for the 2014 Winter Olympics, a color-by-note skiing penguin! This activity will complement seasonal activities as well as activities focusing on the winter olympics, winter sports, or music notation. The activity uses pitch identification (E, G, A, B) to guide coloring the penguin. A limited number of notes were chosen due to the limited number of colors used to complete the picture.
This activity features ONE puzzle modified two ways to fit your classroom needs. The first versions provides note names and the written pitch to guide the color choice. The other version provides just the letter name of the pitch to guide color choice. This is a great activity to reinforce your students' music reading skills -- and it's fun too!
