This January glyph is designed with 2nd graders in mind and is more math related ("meatier" math)than most glyphs.
Please note: This penguin glyph and my New Year's glyph have similar type questions. Do not purchase both unless you want to do review.
Students answer mostly math related questions aligned with the Common Core Standards(5 questions) and color the penguin accordingly. There are a total of 7 questions.
*This contains a 2 page printable that students fill out prior to coloring the penguin. It contains questions on odd/even, add/subtract(students can use a different way to solve if you have not taught as yet), skip counting , expanded form, etc.
*A cute penguin(from Math in the Middle) to color based on answered questions(the glyph).
*A little page poster to display with the glyph should you choose to hang up.
*Teacher Information and Answer Key included.
Special Note: Students must be able to read the printable. Struggling readers must have someone read it to them.
Aligned with the following Common Core standards: 2.0.A.A.1, 2.0. A.B.2, 2.OA.C.3, NBT.A.2, NBT.A.1/ Reference- © Copyright 2010. National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and Council of Chief State School Officers. All rights reserved.
