This game is designed to target the language skills of basic concepts, following directions, pronouns, and WH questions in speech language therapy. It is appropriate for preschool age students through second grade (depending on ability level). Only 5 pages would be best printed in color - the rest can be black and white.
This product is a great complement to my Into the Woods Language Games
Included are two picture scenes (igloo and iceberg), two extra pieces (igloo and iceberg - used to target "under"), six penguin pictures, 150 stimulus cards, and 10 game play cards. There are ten stimulus cards for each picture scene in the following categories: Basic Concepts/Following Directions Levels 1 and 2, Pronouns (Receptive), Pronouns (Expressive), and Pronouns (Expressive – Multiple Choice). There are also ten cards (usable with both scenes) each for Who, What, When, Where, and Why questions. Please download the preview file for example stimulus items.
To use, cut out and laminate the picture scenes, penguins, and stimulus cards. Decide which picture scene and stimulus cards you would like to use. Have your student(s) follow the directions/answer the question on each stimulus card or, for the expressive pronouns, tell what he/she sees. Use of the game play cards (lose a turn, take extra turn, etc.) is optional.
