This cute penguin chick will help them learn to skip-count by threes! They won't resist this hands-on activity that is easy to put together and can be used year after year.
* Counting by Three Cards for your students to order
* Counting by Three Control/Answer sheets
* Printable for your students to create their own cards
* (3) Fill in the Missing Number sheets
* Printable Fill in the Missing Number for Homework or Centers
I recommend laminating the cards, answer sheets & Missing Number sheets for durability. However, you could also use sheet protectors for the answer sheets and Missing Number sheets.
This product can be used for Math Centers or for assessment.
The skip-counting cards are a fun, tactile way for students to practice counting by threes. Print, cut & put in a baggie or small container. Have students mix up the cards and then put them in order. For extra hands-on fun, have students use counters along with the cards. They can place three counters on each card, counting as they go ("1, 2, 3...4, 5, 6" and so on). Don't forget to have them check their work with the control / answer sheet! I've included two: one beginning with 0 and one beginning with 3.
Students love using dry erase markers to fill in the missing numbers on the penguins. Use sheet protectors or laminate the Missing Number sheets for a fun center.
Students can make their own card set to practice skip-counting by 3 or by other numbers. Put them in a ziploc baggie and have them take them home for homework!
