Who doesn’t love penguins? These cute little birds are always a favorite among students! This unit offers a variety of activities that can be used when learning about these interesting flightless birds.

This unit integrates science content (life science) and language arts (reading and writing). And, this time around, I‘ve even thrown in a bit of math! The activities offer your students more practice with various ELA skills as they learn about penguins. You could easily use the materials during your science time, or if you desire, you could also use them during your reading and/or writing time. The activities were designed to foster individual engagement, as well as offer some opportunities for whole group engagement.
