Penguins Positional Words Activity
To begin, print out and laminate the penguin on the next page. Each morning when the students come into the room (or when they come back from lunch or any other place), have the penguin hidden but visible somewhere in the classroom. Place the penguin in various places each day so that all of the positional words are being practiced over time. Once the students find the penguin, have them trace the gray scale words and then complete the sentence on their own. There is a special writing sheet for the first time you do this activity with your students. They can draw a picture under their sentence. Make multiple copies of the last sheet so that they will be able to recall where the penguin was located the previous day! Thank you and Enjoy!
