Let your students show what they have researched about penguins by using this "All About Penguins" 8.5 x 11 research poster (landscape) that focuses on penguin related topics.
Everyone likes penguins, right? :-) How can you not love the cute little creatures!! This is perfect for winter time research or use any time you are learning about penguins or want an animal research project.
Check books out from the library, grab your media specialist to help coordinate research, sign up for the computer lab, or even have kids complete as a homework project.... so many choices!
This poster will look great hanging outside your classroom and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.
The Penguin research poster activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color.
The sections for the students to fill out are:
*place for name
*Tell the overall number of species of penguins, average weight and height
*Largest Species of Penguin, average height and weight
*Smallest Species of Penguin, average height and weight
*Range of where penguins live
*Common behaviors of penguins
*Reproduction and hatching facts
*longevity-death-predators of Penguins
*Did you know?.... to list other interesting facts
*Show on the world map where penguins live.
Please know before you buy..... this is lots of research on one page. If students write huge (you know the ones :) they will probably need an additional piece of note paper. This works great as a graphic organizer to gather info. and then write a final paper
Use as a center activity or even as morning work. Use it in your classroom however you would like.
***Don't forget to check out my penguins passage for interactive notebooks. If you are doing a full unit on penguins, this might be something you would enjoy using. It does NOT cover everything for the poster, it's just a fun additional activity. Click HERE
Also, don't forget to check out my other poster activity sheets. I have LOTS!
