This lesson is designed to teach the basic principles of electrical cells. Students will construct their own, working batteries, and use them to power a light emitting diode (LED).
These materials are separated into 5 parts:
1) A Teacher's Guide (For Introducing you to the material.) [1 Page]
2) A Complete Procedural Guide, Featuring Full Color Photographs, start to finish. (Check out the preview, your students will love this!) [3 Pages]
3) Lesson Plans [2 Pages]
4) Lab Report Handout (Color) [1 Page]
5) Lab Report Teacher's Guide (Not exactly an "answer key", just general expanded information about questions on the Lab Report.) [1 Page]
While this may seem daunting, the only hardware required to outfit an entire class, other than the procedural materials found here, is a couple rolls of pennies, a bag of washers, and a few other very common items. I'll be adding full 20-Pack Classroom Kits in the Hard Goods section soon.
