This is a great ice breaker for the first day of school. The students walk around and ask if the fact given on the game board is true of their classmates. If the fact is true for the asked classmate, then his/her name is written in the box. The first person to find five classmates in a row is the winner!
This activity encourages your often quiet and shy "first day of school" students to move around the classroom and talk to classmates. Through participating in this activity, your students will work toward improving their speaking and listening skills (Common Core standards).
There are 5 versions of the game board included.
