This is a fun people scavenger hunt to help build a community within the classroom. I use this get to know you activity at the beginning of the year during my Guidance Orientation. It is intended to be used with older elementary or middle school students. Students should spend time asking classmates the questions and recording the names of those that answer "yes." Usually I limit the names to one classmate per box. Depending on the size of the class, if I am concerned there are not enough students to fill each box, I will make additional rules:
• You may get the same person to sign your sheet twice.
• You may sign your own sheet twice.
To increase participation, I offer small prizes for the first few completed. Afterward, I ask students to share interesting facts that the students learned about their classmates.
