This packet is comprised of places in the community that are frequently visited. Community helpers are also included. These exercises are beneficial for students with a wide range of disabilities who have difficulty socially and cognitively with places and people in the community. This packet includes Matching, ID, and stimulus pages with multiples of the items. The purpose of this packet is to provide an introduction to essential vocabulary necessary for students to be functional within various community settings. The clinician may choose to augment the activities by implementing following direction prompts and “WH” Questions.
Note: When printed in black and white, coloring activities can be implemented that will require the student to color, circle, or underline each picture. This will allow more time for the student to focus on the pictures, process the information presented by the clinician, and ultimately elicit more exposure to the vocabulary.
