The People of the World project is always incredibly popular with students. It also fits nicely into a cultural awareness/literacy curriculum. Students practice all six of the language arts (speaking, listening, reading, writing, viewing, and visually representing). It requires students to practice their critical thinking skills, introduces and uses research skills, and broadens the scope of curricula in the English/Language Arts classroom. It can be used as a stand-alone semester project, or individual pieces can be used throughout the year. All required project instructions and analysis questions are included in the project guide.
