This activity will help encourage classroom discussion that will allow students to determine their own definitions for Percent Composition, Empirical Formulas, and Molecular Formulas. Students will also be able to identify the similarities and differences between Empirical and Molecular formula using this activity. There are no calculations necessary. It should take around 10 - 15 minutes to do.
