Your class will love practicing percent of a number with this fun shopping activity where you transform your classroom into a shopping center.
The basic idea behind this activity is that each student has a to-do list with two items to buy, and one fun thing they are hoping to have enough money to do. Students know how much money they have to spend. Every item is available at multiple stores, and lots of items are on sale. Students are supposed to find the best deal for what they are trying to buy. Any leftover money is for the “fun” thing on the to-do list…such as eating out or going to a movie.
This resource has 12 posters which serve as the stores and restaurants. These posters are available in color or black/white. There are also 12 different to-do lists for students.
