Pupils use the clue cards to work out how many children were born in each month at a school.
The clues involve working out fractions and percentages of an amount. Pupils will also need to think backwards - if we know 25% is 12, what was 100%? This will help them to find the total number of children asked.
If students are struggling you can make the task significantly easier by telling them that 60 children were asked in total.
