Teach all aspects of percents with this differentiated lesson plan pack! The relationship between fractions, decimals, and percents are explored with these activities in a way that makes understanding percents more accessible to students of all levels in the middle school classroom. There are nine lesson included at three different levels, each with a plan for teaching it as a guided math lesson or for using it in centers.

activities are designed to help your students lay the foundations that they will need to reach grade level expectations for working with percentages as a rational number.
activities provide opportunities for your students to practice using percentages as rational numbers in a variety of formats and with a variety of models.
activities are extensions for students who already have a mastery of using percentages as rational numbers to take them beyond the standard and to apply it in other, novel grade level appropriate topics.
Each lesson activity has a scripted lesson plan to follow when using it as a guided math mini-lesson or a small group lesson. It also includes instructions on how to use as a math station or center for independent practice. When appropriate, the lessons also include a full answer key. An task card activity to help students practice defining and identifying percents as a ratio comparing values to 100.

Designed to help students discover equivalent fractions and percentages, by shading patterns, they are able to make a model of the relationship between a fractions denominator and 100.

Practice ordering and comparing rational numbers using fractions, decimals, and percents using Venn diagrams and hierarchy charts with this engaging and brain-twisting activity.
