Have students partake in a lesson where they are faced with pictures and need to determine their perception of the image and the emotions that may arise due to the examining the image.
Students are asked to reflect on their perceptions and can engage in discussion about the exercise in small or large groups.
Students get to be up and moving around the room while also following directions based off of their decisions/perceptions. Think "choose your own adventure" novels meets visual analysis in relation to identity and perspective.
