This is an article about people’s perception vs. the reality. It is great with units about what people can perceive and why the reality might be different.
This includes an article from Discovery News, and 4 activities.
Activity 1 is a scavenger hunt which helps each student closely read the article and pick out the details.
Activity 2 is vocabulary which is separated into 2 separate worksheets. 1 for a higher level reader and another for a lower level reader.
Activity 3 is a short answer about the organization of the article. It examines expository writing. It also is separated into a higher level reader vs a lower level reader.
Activity 4 is a sentence type examination of simple, complex, compound and compound-complex sentences with an article. It is scaffolded.
Finally all the answer keys are included. The corrections in the answer key are applied to the final copies for the students.
