Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief Unit

Interdisciplinary unit to go along with The Lightning Thief book.

Activities include:

• Greek god pokemon where students will research basic facts about Greek god and then create their own pokemon cards they can actually battle with.
• Role play activity where students pretend they are one of the Olympians and argue for or against the law that gods cannot have a relationship with their children.
• Build the Parthenon Stem challenge
• Greek mosaic art project
• Graphic organizer to compare the book and the movie
• Graphic organizer to plan an opinion paragraph describing if you like the book or the movie better.
• Google maps activity to map the different places Percy visited throughout the book.
