The Perfect Square picture book by Michael Hall is a fun addition to a discussion about growth mindset, recognizing you can try things different ways, and overcoming challenges. Use this interactive read aloud to incorporate a lesson about embracing each person’s unique personality as well as practicing shapes, colors, days of the week, and more.
This low prep resource for Perfect Square includes activity pages that support standard reading skills as well as encourage students to see how we can start with the same thing and work through obstacles to change that thing/idea/talent into something personal and different... and creative. Pick and choose the activities that work for your grade level and student groups.
