This resource can me used in many ways. It includes perfect squares 1-16 and perfect cubes 1-16.
I use it in my classroom by passing out the cards and students find their matching pair/partner and that is the student they work with for that lesson. It gives students opportunity to practice perfect squares/cubes and move around the room.
In my classroom I use these cards as flash cards to practice. I use the metal rings to keep them together. My students attach two envelops in their interactive notebooks to keep the flash cards.
Print (one sided on cardstock paper) the cards and cut out. Mix up the cards and lay them face down. Turn over 2 cards (only squares or cubes) or 3 cards (using all of the cards). If they don’t match, turn them back. If they match the player keeps the cards. The player with the most cards wins.
It has a second activity: Venn Diagram. It has 30 cards with numbers that students will sort by perfect squares, perfect cubes, both or neither.
