Name the coordinates of each point on the grid. Find the area and perimeter for the first 5 shapes. These shapes are made of lines that align with the grid, or coordinate plane. Each shape in this workbook has between 6-12 points.
The next 6 shapes are formed using some diagonal lines. When students find the area of these shapes, they must add together 2 triangles to make 1 square unit. Students do not find the perimeter of these shapes because the diagonals are not worth 1 unit.
A blank coordinate plane and an answer key are also included.
