This activity was created to help students practice finding the perimeter of rectangles and simple composite shapes. It can be used as an extension activity in lower primary classrooms, or as extra practice for those students who need it in upper primary classrooms. You can use the cards in a maths centre, print a copy for each student or groups of students, or you can do a whole class ‘scoot’-type activity with them. There is a recording sheet included for students to easily note their answers, but you may prefer to have them record their answers with working out in their maths books.
There are 18 task cards with two problems on each card included in this download.
