Do you love to do small group math? I do too! I love for students to be actively engaged in an activity that keeps them learning. I created this sort to use while teaching my students during our geometry unit. When I introduced perimeter this was a perfect way to reinforce what they had learned. This is an easy center or station to use during your small group rotations.
This set includes:
-24 perimeter cards
-2 labels (true/false)
-1 recording sheet (and an answer key!)
If false- students must write the corrected perimeter amount
Not much teacher prep needed; print, (I recommend cardstock so it lasts) laminate, and cut!
The students will sort the perimeter cards into 2 categories; true and false. The students much double check the perimeter on each card and decide if the answer is true (correct) or false. If the answer is false, the student will record the correct perimeter on the recording sheet.
You can use this as a center, independent work, partner work, or even in your own small group to check for understanding!
