This activity follows the rules of the classic game of Battleship. Instead of the traditional grids, students use a periodic table for their ocean and target grids.
Student instruction sheet to print out and give to each group of students playing this game. Students are instructed to play using periods, groups and atomic symbols. They are then encouraged to branch out and to use element names, proton #s, neutron #s and atomic masses.
