The Periodic Table of Elements BINGO: An Interactive Game for The Periodic Table is a game I created for my 6th grade class to review the concepts and organizational techniques of the Periodic Table.
Students will have a Periodic Table in front of them. The teacher will pick, at random, a hint out of a bowl (hat, bucket, etc.) and read the hint out loud to the class. The student will then use that hint to find the element it is describing in the Periodic Table of Elements. If the name of that element is on the student’s BINGO card, he or she may put a BINGO chip on the card to cover that specific square. After each hint there will only be a 30 second pause before the next hint is read. Once you have five squares in a row, column, or diagonal you can shout “BINGO”. NOTE: There is no FREE Space in this game, ensuring students more practice in reading the Periodic Table of Elements. Also, the Lanthanide and Actinide series’ are not included in this game.
