This simple activity can be used by kindergarteners or high schoolers to learn the Periodic Table of Elements. This activity is designed to help children understand that chemical elements are all around them in their home; in food, electronics, air, etc. For younger kids, this is an engaging chemistry activity that also allows them to read simple letters, numbers, develop fine motor skills through cutting, pasting, coloring and simple writing. For older kids, this activity emphasizes the meaning of atomic number, atomic mass, atomic symbol, state of matter, protons, neutrons, electrons and the nucleus of elements. When the worksheets are completed they can be bound together to form a Periodic Table of Elements book of 24 elements. The activity is color coded. 2 tables are included to help you with where the elements are found and lists the number of electrons, neutrons, and protons. 2 uptodate versions of the Periodic Table are included depending on the age of your student. I have also included two examples of the worksheets as done by my 5 year old.
