Periodic Table Sports includes four two-page charts.
There is one two-page chart for each sport: baseball, football, basketball, and hockey.
Teachers may choose to have team rosters available for the class to refer to or ask their students to do research on the computer.
First, students record the name, team, and position of a former or active player for the given sport. Next, the player’s team number is then matched with an atomic number on the periodic table. Finally, students record the matching element’s name and its symbol.
