This is a great way to help students review the vocabulary from the Realidades 4B chapter for level 1, because they love to quiz each other and play the role of teachers! I'm always shocked at how engaged students are during these Persona A/Persona B activities.
Simply print out a sheet for each group of two, cut them in half, and you're all set! Detailed instructions are included, but basically, Persona A will ask the first question and check whether or not their partner's answer is correct (Persona A can see the answer). If it's wrong, they let their partner know the correct answer. Then, Persona B asks their first question, and they keep going! At the end, they go back to the questions their partner got wrong.
Additionally, students first just say the answers out loud, but half-way through (it is marked on their sheets to avoid confusion), they will actually write out their answers on scratch paper.
This Microsoft Word document can be edited to include the words your particular students most need to review. Students will mainly review vocab terms such as "I'm sorry" and "with me," but they will also need to write short phrases, such as "I want to play baseball."
This works well as a review activity the day before giving a vocabulary quiz, or at any point later on in the chapter for review. I often put one of the more challenging sentences from this activity on a quiz as an extra credit point, which gives students a little extra motivation to focus on the activity.
I hope this activity is helpful for your students!
