Do you need a classical connection to the concept of high/low? If so, this listening map is for you! The map features “Personages with Long Ears” from “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saens. When listening to the piece, click the donkey every time the strings “jump” to high pitches. The donkey will jump, come back down, and reset for the next string “jump.” There are 15 “jumps” in the piece.
The listening map was created using PowerPoint so it can work on all media platforms. It does NOT include the sound file for the piece for copyright purposes. However, the listening map contains a link to the piece on YouTube if you do not own the piece.
