Designed for grades 2-3, each card will take two to three center slots (30-45 minutes) to complete for most students. I’ve included a tracking page for them to track which ones they’ve done, but my students simply choose a card and do it without tracking. I get them to hand in their finished word sorts periodically and I give the occasional guided reading slot to checking in with each group to see that they know what to do and are able to do it.
