Personal Finance-Intro to Financial Literacy 101 YouTube Video Assignment
This is an assignment I created to go along with an approx. 11:43 min. YouTube video I found online dealing with financial literacy. It is an amazing video that shows the importance of being financially literate. Great way to start a Personal Finance course. The video introduces two teens- Penny Earned and Bill Owed. Penny is smart and signs up for a personal finance course in high school where she learns how to be financially responsible and how to prepare for her future. Bill decided NOT to sign up for the course and ends up making some poor financial decisions. The video follows them through high school and beyond and shows you the good financial decisions Penny makes and the poor financial decisions Bill makes.
The assignment I created to go with the video consists of two columns. In column one students are to create a list of ways Penny is being financially responsible and in the 2nd column how Bill is not being financially responsible. They are to do this while viewing the video. You can have great discussions after viewing and completing the assignment.
A link to the video is included on the handout. It is as follows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0laiuaq74Z0&t=134s
Please try it out first before purchasing this assignment just in case the link is broke. I constantly check assignments that involve website links but you never know when something can change.
