This is a project where students are assigned a personal finance topic and they plan the project in cooperative groups. They have to design and teach a whole lesson to the class. They need to include a presentation, classwork activity, a video clip, and a warm up into their lesson. There is a rubric provided for the project as well as required topics each group must include into their lesson. It was designed in word and can be modified for your classroom. I give them six days to work on the project in class and then there are five days to present the projects to the class.
What are the project topics?
2: Budgeting and planning (personal budgeting and nation’s budgeting)
3: Banks and banking (accounts, investments, interest, etc.
4: Saving and Investing (stock market, bonds, real estate, mutual funds, etc.)
5: Credit cards
