Reinforce personal hygiene and a healthy morning routine with this fun, FREE song sung to “BINGO”, a sample from my best-selling resource Healthy Habits: Songs & Rhymes.

In advance, color the vocabulary cards on page 5. Cut them out and laminate them for durability.

During circle time, invite your crew to brainstorm a list of healthy things to do in the morning to get ready for school. Then sing this song to “BINGO”, acting out washing your face as you sing. Sing this song several times, substituting wash my face with comb my hair, dress for school, eat some food, brush my teeth, and other student suggestions, acting out each movement. (Place the vocabulary cards in a pocket chart to help your crew anticipate the words in the song.) Later, give each child a copy of page 6 to draw and color one healthy thing to do before coming to school; then complete the sentence.

There are plenty of ways to use this song in your classroom! Sing, chant, or read it during circle time, find rhyming words or capital letters. It’s perfect for reading buddies, too!

Appropriate for Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grades, Day Care and Homeschool. I hope you and your students enjoy it!
