This is a reading comprehension passage with questions that is designed to function as a guide for students to create their own personal introduction paragraph. It covers basic topics like saying your name, age, and origen; but then advances to more complicated topics like discussing class schedules and telling time. The present-tense verbs SER, HABER, TENER, GUSTAR, as well as other regular AR verbs are used to reinforce these concepts that are constantly important in beginning Spanish. This worksheet is designed for students to first annotate the paragraph independently; then the teacher will project it on the board and then guide students through annotation and translation and emphasize the important grammatical concepts; then students answer the comprehension questions on their own. As an extension to the activity, students may also use it as a guide to create their own personal introduction paragraph that hits the same key points.
