Product Description
“I Don’t Know What to Write.” Is this the response you hear from your kindergarten students when it is writing time? Let these simple templates solve your students’ problem. Everyone did something yesterday so everyone can write about something from the day before. These are the perfect templates for personal narratives because your students know where to start! There is a writing page for each day of the week, cover sheet, additional writing pages, and 7 key word cards.

To differentiate, there are two sets of templates. The first has a bigger space to draw and fewer lines for writing. The second has a smaller drawing space and more lines.

On Monday, students will write about Sunday. On Tuesday, they write about Monday. My students usually write about Sunday through Thursday but I have included pages for Friday and Saturday too. There is a cover sheet that can be used with either template. Also included is a page just for writing when your students need more space to write. 6 additional pages are included with the following sentence starters: Today, Yesterday, Last week, Last month, Last year, and One day.

Key Word Cards: Include are 7 key word cards (then, next, finally, went, saw, said, and ate) to facilitate writing. Soon children know how to spell these because they use them EVERYDAY! Eventually these are added to my Word Wall. These come in color and black line.
