Personal Word Building Toolkit

With distance learning a strong possibility at some point next year, we have been working on putting together personal learning toolkits for our students so supplies do not have to be shared. One of those tools are these personal word building kits.

Usually we use a cookie sheet with magnetic letters on them for word building activities. But, we only have six letter trays in the classroom, which for small groups is fine. As we look ahead to the year ahead, there is a strong possibility that we will not have shared supplies. This is where a personal word building kit will come in handy.

Each student can have their own kit for making words. Everything in this kit is meant to fit into a pencil box. As an alternative, you could put the pieces in a file folder and laminate. Then your students would have a portable file folder sized word building kit. You can have each students keep one at school and one at home in a switch to online learning occurs at your school.
