Learning to write is a lot of fun for young writers! This simple concept was designed for my kindergarten students to write down new words they learned for their writing workshop pieces. The sheets feature a personal word wall, so that they can practice letter recognition as well as initial sound skills.
Simply print the sheets and glue in a manilla folder. Students can write their favorite words in their folder and refer to the folder over and over again! I also included boxes for common high frequency words such as the days of the week or the names of kids in our class.
The actual folder sheets are Word documents so that you can edit the boxes to meet your needs!
